ObJet Rapid Prototyping

The Objet 3D printer use Inkjet Technology to create 3D Models using a Photo Polymer resin. This technology uses a Solid Modelling or 3D CAD models, using an STL file to print using the Objet 3D printer. The Technology is being used more inventively for post process applications such as Silicon Moulding, Investment casting, Vulcanised rubber moulding and now Chrome Plating.

The Objet 3D Printer uses ultrafine 16 micron build layers, and using an Ultra Violet source to cure each layer, the principle of Inkjet technology lies in the Print-heads, jetting resin onto a table which in turn is lowered after each layer is printed. Using UV Curable resin and a water soluble support, this machine can be used in an Office environment, as it does not require extraction, no smell and no noise. The Objet Studio Software is used with the machine to import the CAD generated Model and organises the best way to produce singular or multiple models
