HEMBRUG

HEMBRUG originally started as the Dutch ordnance factory in 1679. Around 1900 they moved to premises in the neighbourhood of a swing bridge across the North-Sea Canal.

More than half a century later part of the company got the name of that bridge “Hembrug”.

In 1973 the Dutch Government separated the machine tool and ammunition into Eurometaal and HEMBRUG, in which HEMBRUG would develop, manufacture and market precision machine tools.

In 1982 the government privatised HEMBRUG and Subsequently HEMBRUG moved to the city of Haarlem.
