Arcam gets order from major medical company
Arcam has received an order for an EBM S12T from a leading medical device manufacturer. The system will be used for direct manufacturing of parts for medical applications in titanium. The system will be delivered in 2004. This is the first order from a medical device company and we now enter into a new and important market segment. The possibility to produce implantable titanium parts directly from CAD models gives new exciting opportunities for us in the medical industry. This new order, following the order from Boeing in August, shows the acceptance of the EBM S12 as a direct manufacturing tool in all our prioritized segments; medical, aerospace and automotive, says Magnus René, Managing Director of Arcam. For more information please contact: Arcam in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a high-tech company offering Free Form Fabrication (FFF) equipment for direct manufacturing of parts in metals.
